At the end of 2019 early 2020 I was experiencing stress as a result of big changes in my personal life. On top of that, Covid 19 happened and I became house bound and like so many of us, uncertain of the future. My hip joints began aching as I would get up from my favourite cross-legged position of sitting and I would often have to hobble for a minute until I could loosen things up a bit. This was rather concerning and I had a suspicion that my recent stress was causing an unusual level of inflammation in my body. I happened to come across "THE EARTHING MOVIE" that you can watch through the link on this page, and felt very strongly that inflammation in my hip joints may very well be the problem.
Having understood (for the first time) the SCIENCE of earthing, I decided to purchase an "Earthing MAT" that fits over my mattress just under the sheet so that I would have an all night (good 8 hours a day) of being earthed.
My first two feedback experiences were enough to convince my I'd made the right choice. It took less than a week for my hips to return to their normal function with no more achy pains when I stood up. With no other changes in my lifestyle or stress levels, i was excited to feel that my investment in this mat may very well be going to pay off! After another week or two, I helped a friend with a huge day of cleaning, vacuuming and lifting items and I came home aching all over. I know my body well and it's always the next day that I suffer the most after doing such a marathon of work. It's the next morning that the muscles ache, the lower back suffers etc. (from the inflammation). Then I remembered I was sleeping on the earthing mat and I wondered if it would make any difference to my body "the day after". I woke up feeling amazing and with almost no aches and pains which would be my usual experience.
I continue sleeping on my mat every night and I feel it is really helping my body to balance overnight after dealing with daily life, stress and environmental elements as well.
I am not declaring that this technology (or method) will be a cure-all for everybody but I do like to let people know (with any kind of inflammation in the body) that it may be worth a try!
